Most times, choosing equipment or tool can prove to be a difficult task, especially when there are a lot of options to pick from. Personally, before I pick a tool, I read the reviews online about the tool. It was on one of the online review reading that I came across the Dewalt DCF887. I fell in love with it immediately, so I placed an order. When it came, I fell in love with it all over again and this prompted me to do my own personal review of the drill.
Compact and Powerful
One of the reasons why I opted for the Dewalt DCF887 is its efficiency. I have used many different types of impact drivers in the past, but there was something about the DCF887B that caught my attention – that it is lightweight and compact, packed a lot of power, and was cheap for impact drivers within the same range. The powerful impact driver has a max-torque of 1,825 in-lbs and a maximum speed of 3,250 rpm, which also comes with a 3-speed adjustable knob for gaining control of the speed of the equipment.
Furthermore, this impact driver comes with a precision drive when the lowest speed is selected, which is perfect when carrying out jobs that require precision and more control such as when driving screws into kitchen furniture. When the precision drive is selected, the impact driver will reduce its speed and hence make it easier to control while driving screws. Another interesting addition to the impact driver is the provision of LED lights which have a 20-sec gap when the trigger is released. The LED is also designed in a way that there are no shadows to obstruct the view of the area.
-The impact driver runs on a brushless motor. It runs for more time on just a single charge even more than a brushed motor. Also operates a little quiet and cool.
-It has the very high gear. It has and uses a total of three gears for its transmission, which makes it very powerful.
-Provision of a 3-speed setting to regulate the speed and also helps to do precise work.
-It is easy to work within tight areas because it measures just 5.3 inches front to back.
-Three LED lights plus 20-second time-lapse after the release of the trigger, eliminating shadows, doing an excellent job of illuminating wherever you are working, and enhancing visibility.
-Precision drive when the speed regulator is on 1.
-The driver accepts bits as small as one inch long, and the bits are also very easy to change.
-The Chuck can be loaded with one hand, and there is an easy grip.

Another said he uses it for a whole lot of things, including as a nut driver, drill die grinder, impact wrench, and screwdriver, as the versatility of the tool cannot be overemphasized.
While there are so many others thriving within the same range, the DEWALT DCF887B has made its mark and continues sitting at the top of the list of powerful impact drivers.
